There is not any reason to blame drugs and addicts aren't remarkably different from everybody else. Obsession comes from our nature and everybody are dependent on a day-to-day basis. This system is a pleasure or “reward” system that permits us to remember enjoyable or necessary acts and wish to replay these sensations. This transfers across to obsessions in precisely the same way as the brain processes pleasure coming from a certain actions and in this fashion causes us to accept that this action is good for us so we must repeat it. , director of the Addictive Behaviors Research Center at the University of Washington when he claimed, “Everyone engages in addictive behaviors to some extent because such items as eating, drinking, and sex are critical to survival and highly reinforcing. We receive swift gratification from them and find them really tough to give up, indeed.
